Full-Time Middle School and High School Assistant Principal
Job Summary: North Valley Christian Academy (NVCA) is seeking an experienced and Christ-centered leader to serve as the Assistant Principal for Middle School and High School. This role is vital in supporting the Principal in overseeing all aspects of the middle school and high school programs. The Assistant Principal will focus on providing training, support, and evaluation for educators and staff, assisting with student discipline and behavior management, and promoting a Christ-centered environment aligned with NVCA’s mission to "develop Christ-centered students who aspire to excellence and desire to impact the community for Him."
Duties include:

Support for Principal Leadership:
Assist the Principal in all administrative, instructional, and operational duties
Collaborate with the Principal to implement and achieve school-wide goals and initiatives
Serve as a representative for the Principal in meetings or events as needed -
Educator and Staff Training, Support, and Evaluation:
Mentor, support, and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for teachers and support staff
Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to educators to enhance instructional practices
Oversee performance evaluations for staff, ensuring alignment with NVCA’s mission and professional standards
Work collaboratively with staff to promote a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence -
Student Discipline and Behavior Management:
Assist with the development and implementation of school-wide behavior management policies
Address disciplinary issues in a fair, compassionate, and Christ-centered manner
Partner with teachers, parents, and counselors to create behavior intervention plans that promote personal growth and accountability
Foster a positive school culture that emphasizes respect, responsibility, and Christ-like behavior -
Promoting NVCA’s Christian Mission and Values:
Serve as a spiritual leader and example for students, staff, and the NVCA community
Integrate Christian values and teachings into all aspects of the school environment
Encourage prayer, spiritual growth, and discipleship among students and staff
Support and actively participate in NVCA’s faith-based initiatives, events, and community outreach programs -
Administrative Duties:
Collaborate with the Principal to manage school operations, including scheduling, student services, and event planning
Assist in coordinating parent communication and involvement in school activities
Ensure compliance with school policies, accreditation standards, and legal requirements
Participate in the development and oversight of school budgets related to middle and high school programs -
Student Support:
Work closely with counselors, teachers, and parents to address students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
Oversee programs that support student leadership, academic success, and spiritual growth
Facilitate student events and activities that align with NVCA’s mission and foster community engagement
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in educational leadership or a related field
- Administrative Certificate preferred, but if the candidate does not have it, willingness to acquire one
- Proven experience in educational leadership, preferably in a Christian school setting
- Strong understanding of and commitment to Christian values, with the ability to model and inspire Christ-like behavior
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and evaluate educators and staff effectively
- Experience in student behavior management and promoting a positive school culture

Assistant Athletic Director
Job Summary: North Valley Christian Academy (NVCA) is seeking a dedicated and visionary Assistant Athletic Director to oversee all middle school and high school athletic events. This role requires a dynamic leader who will provide guidance and training for coaches and athletes while upholding and advancing the Christian values and mission of our school. The Assistant Athletic Director will work closely with the Athletic Director, faculty, coaches, and administration to ensure that NVCA’s athletic programs exemplify excellence, integrity, and Christ-centered values.
Duties include:

Athletic Event Oversight:
Coordinate, plan, and supervise all middle school and high school athletic events, including scheduling, logistics, and event management
Ensure proper setup and breakdown of athletic facilities for games, meets, and practices
Serve as the primary point of contact during athletic events, addressing issues and ensuring smooth operations -
Leadership and Training:
Provide mentorship, training, and support to NVCA’s coaches to promote professional development and alignment with school values
Foster a positive, Christ-centered culture within NVCA’s athletic programs by modeling Christian leadership and behavior
Develop and implement programs to enhance athletes’ physical, mental, and spiritual growth -
Athlete Development:
Encourage student-athletes to demonstrate sportsmanship, teamwork, and Christ-like behavior on and off the field
Collaborate with the Athletic Director to create opportunities for leadership development and faith-based activities for athletes
Monitor academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes, partnering with teachers and staff to ensure academic success -
Program Alignment with Christian Mission:
Uphold and integrate NVCA’s mission to "develop Christ-centered students who aspire to excellence and desire to impact the community for Him" within all athletic programs
Ensure that all athletic events and activities reflect the school’s commitment to Christian values
Lead pre-event and post-event prayers, as appropriate, and encourage spiritual growth within the athletic community
Agree with the NVCA’s Statement of Faith -
Administrative Duties:
Assist in managing budgets, purchasing equipment, and maintaining athletic facilities
Collaborate with the Athletic Director to communicate schedules, updates, and program information to students, parents, and staff
Ensure compliance with league, state, and school policies and procedures -
Community Engagement:
Build strong relationships with parents, alumni, and local community members to promote NVCA’s athletic programs
Represent NVCA at league meetings, community events, and outreach activities
Partner with church leaders and ministry teams to integrate athletics into NVCA’s broader spiritual mission
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in athletic administration, education, or a related field (Masters preferred)

Experience in athletic program management, coaching, or a related leadership role

Strong understanding of and commitment to Christian values, with the ability to model and inspire Christ-like behavior

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop coaches and student-athletes.

Full-Time Elementary Assistant Teacher
Job Summary: To support teachers in providing a Christ-centered and biblically-based education. Assistant teachers provide a structured, positive environment that enable students to grow academically, spiritually, and socially. Assistants should be able to lead one-on-one, small group, and large group instruction. Assistants should also be able to carry out all duties associated with facilitating a safe learning environment throughout the school day. Job Summary: The B.E.S.T. program at NVCA is searching for a highly qualified academic coach who has knowledge in high school level mathematics. Part-Time K-12 B.E.S.T. Coach
Job Summary: The B.E.S.T. program is seeking a full time coach to work with students with specific learning needs. The position requires applicants to support students with in-class assignments, provide accommodations based on individualized student plans, and monitor goals for learning targets. Coaches assist within the general classroom, work with small groups, and assist 1:1 with students.

Extended Care
Job Summary: North Valley Christian Academy is hiring for our morning and/or afternoon Extended Care program and we are looking for a highly qualified, loving, and passionate teacher in our Christian school environment. The position requires up to 25 hours per week working a fixed schedule.
Teacher Duties include:
- Ability to support our program and mission as well as state licensing guidelines
- Planning daily activities with written lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate
- Supporting families through communication and relationship building
- Working closely with current staff as part of a team
- Participate in staff meetings and other professional development training
Qualifications:
- At least 3 months of teaching experience in an early childhood setting and an associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field; or 6 months experience in an early childhood setting and a high school diploma or GED; or 12 credit hours in early childhood, child development, or closely related field; or a CDA, NAC or CCP credential.

Substitute Teacher
Job Summary: An individual holding this position instructs students and facilitates student learning in the absence of the regular teacher. Essential duties and responsibilities are to:
- Support and maintain classroom policies;
- Provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans;
- Create a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students;
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment;
- Maintain the established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned;
- Maintain a professional appearance as an example to students;
- Remain at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed to leave by the principal;
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities;
- Maintain reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility;
- Communicate effectively with parents when needed;
- Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and times designated; and
- Complete other duties as assigned.
