Full-Time Admissions Director

Job Summary: NVCA is seeking an organized and personable Admissions Director to manage the admissions process for students. This role involves responding to inquiries, scheduling campus tours, processing applications and enrollments, managing withdrawals, and maintaining accurate student records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to admission inquiries via phone, email, and website
  • Schedule and conduct campus tours for Preschool, B.E.S.T., and Grades K-12 students, coordinating with relevant directors
  • Process applications, enrollments, and withdrawals, including maintaining waitlists and managing shadow days and assessments
  • Maintain and organize student files, including birth certificates, immunization records, and previous school records
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth communication and accurate record-keeping

Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our private Christian school community. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality speech and language services while integrating into our mission-driven environment. This role is perfect for a professional who enjoys working with children in a supportive, faith-based setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct screenings and formal evaluations to identify communication disorders (articulation, language, fluency, and voice).
  • Individualized Therapy: Develop and implement Christ-centered, goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Funding Management: Navigate and accept ESA (Empowerment Scholarship Account) funding and manage private pay billing for families receiving services.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and administration to support the academic and social success of students.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential records of progress, evaluations, and billing in compliance with state and school standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Licensure: Valid State License and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a PK -12 school setting or private practice is highly desirable. 
  • Mission Alignment: A commitment to the school's Christian values and to follow the statement of faith.

Family Health and Wellness Consultant 

Job Summary: NVCA is seeking a compassionate, Christ-centered family health and wellness consultant to join our student support team. This role is unique in its focus on perspective prevention programs for all students. This person will structure activities to meet the needs of the students in the areas of social, emotional, and spiritual development, while consulting with teachers, staff, parents, and the community, and providing a safety net for students navigating mental health challenges. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prevention & Community Engagement: Develop and facilitate social-emotional learning (SEL) groups focusing on resilience, friendship, and healthy coping mechanisms
  • Targeted Student Support: Provide direct, confidential support and crisis intervention for students struggling with self-harm and disordered eating
  • Spiritual Integration: Offer counsel rooted in a biblical worldview, helping students understand their identity and worth in Christ
  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) and state licensure (LCSW preferred).
  • Clinical Insight: Demonstrated experience or specialized training in addressing self-harm behaviors and eating disorders.
  • Communication: Ability to speak empathetically and professionally with both middle/high school students and their parents.

Middle School & High School Choir Teacher

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Choir Teacher (Part-time or Full-time) to lead and grow our middle school and high school vocal music program. This educator will inspire students through performance excellence, musical literacy, and Christ-centered instruction, while contributing to a collaborative Fine Arts department.  

Primary Responsibilities  

  • Teach and direct Middle School and High School performance choirs   
  • Plan, rehearse, and conduct two major concerts annually  
  • Select, purchase, and organize concert literature appropriate for each ensemble   
  • Integrate biblical principles and worldview into music instruction and repertoire   
  • Teach vocal technique, music literacy, and ensemble skills   
  • Demonstrate the ability to read sheet music and provide basic piano accompaniment as needed   
  • Coordinate with an accompanist if additional live accompaniment is desired   
  • Collaborate closely with the Fine Arts Director and Instrumental Music Teacher for program planning and events   
  • Maintain and organize an inventory of choir formal concert attire

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in music, music education, or related field preferred  
  • Valid Arizona teaching credential in music (or willingness to obtain upon employment)   
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in vocal music and choral instruction   
  • Ability to teach music theory fundamentals and sight-reading   
  • Prior teaching or directing experience preferred, with a desire to continue building a growing vocal program

Job Summary: North Valley Christian Academy, in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a passionate and qualified High School Math Teacher to teach courses ranging from Algebra I through Pre-Calculus.

Job Summary: The B.E.S.T. program is seeking a full time coach to work with students with specific learning needs. The position requires applicants to support students with in-class assignments, provide accommodations based on individualized student plans, and monitor goals for learning targets. Coaches assist within the general classroom, work with small groups, and assist 1:1 with students.

Part-Time Lunch/Recess Monitor

Job Summary: NVCA is looking for Lunch/Recess Monitors who are responsible for supervising students during lunch and recess to ensure a safe, respectful, and positive environment. This role involves monitoring student behavior, enforcing school rules, and assisting with conflict resolution while fostering a Christ-centered atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during lunch and recess, ensuring safety and appropriate behavior.
  • Address and manage minor conflicts or behavioral issues as needed.
  • Monitor playground activities, ensuring students follow safety guidelines.

Extended Care

Job Summary: North Valley Christian Academy is hiring for our morning and/or afternoon Extended Care program and we are looking for a highly qualified, loving, and passionate teacher in our Christian school environment.  The position requires up to 25 hours per week working a fixed schedule.

Teacher Duties include:

  • Ability to support our program and mission as well as state licensing guidelines
  • Planning daily activities with written lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate
  • Supporting families through communication and relationship building
  • Working closely with current staff as part of a team
  • Participate in staff meetings and other professional development training

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 months of teaching experience in an early childhood setting and an associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field; or 6 months experience in an early childhood setting and a high school diploma or GED; or 12 credit hours in early childhood, child development, or closely related field; or a CDA, NAC or CCP credential.

Substitute Teacher

Job Summary: An individual holding this position instructs students and facilitates student learning in the absence of the regular teacher. Essential duties and responsibilities are to:

  • Support and maintain classroom policies;
  • Provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans;
  • Create a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students;
  • Maintain a safe and orderly environment;
  • Maintain the established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned;
  • Maintain a professional appearance as an example to students;
  • Remain at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed to leave by the principal;
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities;
  • Maintain reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility;
  • Communicate effectively with parents when needed;
  • Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and times designated; and
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
