Lion Guard Program - Dads of the Den

NVCA Lion Guard Program - Dads of the Den

What is the “Lion Guard Program?”  The Lion Guard Program is NVCA’s educational initiative to support family engagement and encourage fathers and/or father figures to get involved by volunteering on NVCA's campus. The “Dads of the Den” will be an elite group of fathers and/or father figures who are positive role models on campus, volunteering their time to the school and students, promoting education, and being an extra set of eyes and ears on campus to enhance school and campus security.

What are the duties of the Lion Guard?

The hope is that you will volunteer your time on campus for the first half of the school day however volunteers are welcome to stay for the entire day if available. When scheduling your day, simply let us know and we would be happy to schedule you accordingly. You will check-in, in uniform, with the front office and receive your schedule of duties. During the day, the Dads of the Den can expect to patrol the school campus, entrances, hallways, and parking lot, acting as an extra set of eyes and ears on campus. Dads of the Den can also expect to be utilized in the classroom to read and work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, assist with traffic flow, and any other assigned activities where they are actively engaged with not only their own children but other students as well.

What is the uniform?

On the day of their participation, Lion Guards wear an official Lion Guard t-shirt with a lanyard identifying them as Dads of the Den. Students of the participating Dad of the Den will have the opportunity to wear a custom Lion Guard shirt on the same day as well.
